Company History
First generation plumber
Leonard Varnado started the company in 1974, and he was committed to bringing quality plumbing services to Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
Second generation plumber
In 1990, Leonard’s son Richard (Ricky) Varnado bought his father’s business. Richard’s main focus was to grow the company by hiring employees that valued customer satisfaction as much as he did, continuing the level of quality service envisioned by his father many years before.
Third generation plumber
In 2005, Richard’s son Matthew (Matt) Varnado joined the family business after graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is expanding the business to further meet the plumbing needs of the Greater Baton Rouge community. Matt maintains residential and commercial relationships established by his grandfather, and he works on new opportunities for future generations.

Leonard’s Plumbing is a third generation family business. Leonard, Richard, and Matthew have earned a Master Plumbing License and have a long history of quality and customer service.
